Research

My research foci are in the field of subject-specific didactics oriented research on teaching as a contribution to the empirical didactic foundations of nutrition and home economics-related learning (ethnographic research approach; thick description; qualitative approach).

Further research foci are on :

• nutrition and consumer education in the context of global learning and transformative education
• subject-specific teaching and learning in and with virtual reality
• community-based research in the implementation of nutrition education projects in (out of) school settings
