Report
In March 2026, I had the opportunity to participate in the 15th World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology in Prague, Czech Republic, organized by the APV (International Association for Pharmaceutical Technology and Industrial Pharmacy), the APGI (International Society for Drug Delivery Sciences and Technology) and the S.I.T.E.L.F (Italian Society of Pharmaceutical Technology and Legislation). Thanks to the support of the VDS-PhaNuSpo, I was able to attend this inspiring conference, which brought together over 1300 international scientists, members of the pharmaceutical industry and students from across the different disciplines of pharmaceutical technology and biopharmaceutics.
The conference featured invited lectures and short talks spanning a broad range of topics - from A (Advanced drug delivery systems) to Z (Zeta potential). Particularly interesting for me were the sessions on nucleic acid delivery and on nanoparticles and nanovesicles, as they closely relate to my research. The program’s broad scope also allowed me to gain insights into other fascinating topics in biopharmaceutical models and specialized delivery of small molecules.
During the conference, I presented some of our latest findings in a poster entitled “RNA vs RNP: Screening of Prime Editor RNA and Ribonucleoprotein Nanoformulations” together with my colleague Dagmara Widzisz. This was a great opportunity to share our work, discuss methods and results with other students and researchers, and gather valuable input from diverse perspectives.
The conference’s social program encouraged networking and connecting with other attendees, helping participants meet new people and strengthen already existing collaborations. It was also a pleasure to reconnect with colleagues I had met before.
I would like to thank my supervisor Ulrich Lächelt and the VDS-PhaNuSpo for their continued support and for making it possible for me to take part in this inspiring meeting.
