Thesis title: "Computational Target Prediction in Synucleinopathies"

Thesis outline: Jessica is a doctoral candidate in the Cheminformatics Research Group, led by Thierry Langer. She holds a BSc in Pharmacy and a MSc in Drug Discovery and Development.

Her doctoral research is conducted within the framework of the EU Joint Programme Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) initiative Alpha-Synuclein Omics to Identify Drug Targets (SynOD), which brings together six collaborating research groups across Europe. The Austrian contribution to this consortium is funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). Her thesis builds on the experimental findings of the SynOD partners and focuses on the computational identification and characterisation of protein-ligand interactions implicated in synucleinopathies, such as Parkinson’s disease.

Funding: FFG - Austrian Research Promotion Agency

Supervisor: Thierry Langer Advisor: Johannes Kirchmair
