Thesis title: “Modeling strength-endurance: An individualized approach"

Thesis outline: In resistance training, the relationship between an applied load and an individual’s work capacity until exhaustion is confounded by various covariates within a given exercise. My PhD thesis investigates the possibility of overcoming these influential factors by modeling the described relationship on an individual level based on strongly restricted availability of data. If these individual models provide sufficient reliability and predictive validity to unknown data they would enable improved accuracy in quantitative control of neuromuscular exhaustion, yielding benefit for both practitioners and researchers aiming to standardize exhaustion.
