As part of the course, students have the opportunity to get to know experts from various research fields of pharmaceutical, nutritional and sport sciences and to discuss current issues of those areas. Thereafter, the invited guest speaker gives a lecture of its respective research area.

If required, the course can be changed to hybrid teaching or to digital. You must be registered for the course to receive the information of such a change.

Lecture series by international and local experts in pharmacy, food sciences and related fields. Speakers's list here. Most of the units will be held on-site in lecture room 4 (HS4) of UZA2, Thursdays at 11.30 h.

Aims, contents and method of the course: In this course, PhD students are invited to present their projects and results of their research and to discuss them with the professor and their colleagues.

ECTS acceptance: mentoring of master thesis, congress attendance or extramural lab visit (with relevance to your thesis topic), rough guidelines

  • 2 ECTS: attendance of an (inter)national scientific meeting (duration: five full days)
    Required documents for acceptance: congress flyer and certificate of attendance
  • 4 ECTS: first author presentation of own data at an (inter)national scientific meeting in form of a poster or a talk
    Required documents for acceptance: congress flyer, certificate of attendance and abstract
  • 2 ECTS /stay in an extramural lab (promoting the progress of your thesis project)
    Required documents for acceptance: description of performed activities / experiments and confirmation letters host and supervisor
  • 2 ECTS: active and significant support in supervision of one master thesis (max. 6 ECTS in total/PhD). Required document to be completed and signed, according your dissertation area:
    Note: use either first or second page, dependent on the length of names and master thesis title.
