Our PhDs on the road

PhD student Shara Sosa Cabrera (Pharmaceutical Sciences) attended the Annual Meeting of the Society for Free Radical Research Europe (SFRR-E) with the focus on "From Molecules to Tissues: Redox Biology in Action", which took place from 4 to 7 June 2024 in Istanbul.

Report

This past June 2024 I got the opportunity to travel to Istanbul to the SFRR-E meeting. I got the chance to network with other PhD students and meet with other PIs from my field as well as attending to scientific talks that are relevant for my PhD studies. Getting to visit the city was a plus, since the culture (including the amazing cuisine) was so different of what I’m used to. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that will help me grow as a scientist in the REDOX field.
