We take the issue of conflict management seriously and offer our support to all students who need it. If conflicts arise during your PhD studies that require outside assistance to solve, please contact the VDS-PhaNuSpo coordinator Isolde (Email, phone ext. 50030) OR a student representative(s) (Email) OR a member of the steering committee.

All information will be treated as highly confidential and will only be communicated to other parties with your consent.

We are available for one-on-one meetings to discuss and to reach a conflict/problem resolution together with you. For conflict solving we will do our best, dependent on conflict specifications, to analyse contributing factors (causes), to generate interventions (e.g. brainstorm possible solutions, creative thinking), to evaluate solutions (e.g. discussion, mediation, prioritising, that includes identifying possible barriers), to implement a plan. Click on the provided links to get informed on contact points at the UNIVIE  (interactive map - Intranet), and internal and external public assistance and emergency councelling services (e.g.helplines and services from women and men against violence, psychological/psychiatric services, anti-racism work, free legal advice on residencial permits, among others).
