Welcome Event & Reception

The next event is scheduled for early October.

We invite our new PhaNuSpo doctoral students and the whole DocSchool community to our regular Welcome Events & Receptions. These are great opportunities to get to know your peers and fellow students, student representatives and PI members of the PhaNuSpo community. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

What's about?

Part 1: Information session, 30-60 minutes

  • Find out about DocSchool activities, PhaNuSpo travel and completion grants, support services and what to do if you encounter difficulties.
  • We will give you an insight into the milestones and formalities of your doctoral programme: from the public presentation (FÖP), ECTS requirements, student-supervisor expectations, the PhD agreement to your defence.
  • Feel free to bring any questions you may have about the doctoral programme or any other topics.

Part 2: Join the reception!

  • Drinks and snacks will be provided by the DocSchool.

Information events of other units

In addition, the Centre for Doctoral Studies offers information sessions providing an overview of doctoral studies at the University of Vienna as well as topic specific sessions on admission in a nutshell, funding opportunities and entry and residence permits. Registration is not required.
