Thesis title: "The “Austrian Osteoarthritis Cuisine”: A new Austrian anti-inflammatory diet for osteoarthritis and its effects on inflammatory markers, oxidative stress and nutritional status."

Thesis outline: The dissertation is part of the project NUMOQUA (Nutrition and Movement to improve quality of life with knee osteoarthritis). The project is a research cooperation of the University of Applied Science St. Pölten, the University of Vienna, and the University for Continuing Education Krems. The doctoral thesis examines the implementation of an adapted New Nordic Diet combined with an evidence-based training program in Austrian patients with knee osteoarthritis and the effects on anthropometric parameters, nutritional and inflammatory status, as well as oxidative stress parameters.
