Thesis title: "A structure-based view on molecular initiating events (MIEs) related to developmental neurotoxicity (DNT)"

Thesis outline: Karin studied pharmacy at the University of Vienna and is now a PhD student of the Pharmacoinformatics Research Group. During her master thesis she focused on the elucidation of crucial interactions describing the molecular initiating event (MIE) of neonicotinoid pesticides on human nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. She now continues to work on a structure-based view on MIEs of toxicologically relevant target proteins for her PhD thesis and is involved in the RISK-HUNT3R project. The general aim of the project is to incorporate in silico and in vitro tools as new approach methods in the field of regulatory risk assessment.
