Thesis title: "The Effects of Psychosocial Stress on Hypertrophy and Strength Adaptations"
Thesis outline: Adaptations to resistance training is known to be highly individual. Finding the most dominant moderators of trainability would generate new opportunities for improving sports performance training, general health, and clinical exercise interventions.
It is speculated that psychosocial stress may impact an individual's adaptability to training. My project will (1) investigate this interaction, and (2) explore the use of stress-reduction strategies on adaptation to resistance training in humans.
