Thesis title: "Investigation of Antagonistic Training Response Modeling for the Prediction of Athletic Performance, and Applications of Machine Learning for Modeling"
Thesis outline: The PhD Project aims to advance the research on performance prediction modeling in multiple aspects. First, the field of comparing existing models will be expanded and insights on existing models will be gained, which will help to guide practical application. Second, based on existing models new models will be developed and evaluated. Third, based on submaximal performance tests, the use of models for predicting submaximal and maximal performance will be assessed. Fourth, use cases outside of sports, like rehabilitation and health care, will be explored.
