Thesis title: "Assessment of micro- and nanoplastic induced inflammatory processes by medicinal imaging"

Thesis outline: The aim of this study is to evaluate the inflammatory processes induced by micro- and nanoplastics (MNP) both in vitro and in vivo using medical imaging. The physicochemical properties of the particles as well as the adsorbed environmental substances have different effects on inflammatory processes and are being investigated using different inflammatory parameter assays and different radioligands for PET including 2-[¹⁸F]FDG.
