Thesis title: "Development of CRISPR/Cas9-sgRNA Ribonucleoprotein (RNP) Delivery Systems by Modifying Artificial Peptide Carriers and Nucleic Acid Componen"

Thesis outline: This research project aims to develop new CRISPR/Cas9-sgRNA ribonucleoprotein (RNP) delivery systems, by equipping the sgRNA component with essential functions for intracellular transport. The approach features the possibility of either improving Cas9 RNP delivery by nanocarriers or even serving as “carrier-free” delivery systems. Once established, the developed system has the potential to be used for the treatment of diverse genetic diseases, such as metabolic, neurodegenerative and muscular disorders or cancer.
